Pay Range

This range is provided by Outreach: Building Healthy Lives. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.

Base pay range

$19.50/hr - $24.62/hr

Position Overview

The Substance Abuse Floor Counselor (SAC) is responsible for delivering supervision, support, and clinical services to chemically dependent adolescents in a residential setting. The SAC serves as a member of the treatment team. Sun-Thursday, 3p-11p.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide weekly group sessions to help residents develop and achieve goals outlined in their treatment plans.
  2. Conduct bi-weekly individual counseling sessions to support residents' goals.
  3. Screen residents and their property initially and ongoing, following unit procedures.
  4. Document resident progress, incidents, and other relevant information accurately using agency forms and tools.
  5. Facilitate and supervise daily group formats.
  6. Supervise clients in self-medication under supervision.
  7. Participate in individual and group supervision sessions.
  8. Communicate pertinent information, incidents, and emergencies through the appropriate channels, including logs and incident reports.
  9. Provide crisis intervention and follow-up, including documentation of incidents.
  10. Supervise and manage the client population within the daily schedule.
  11. Perform other duties as assigned.

Collaborations and Supervision

Works with Unit Director, Clinical Coordinator, House Manager, and Assistant House Manager. Supervised by the House Manager or Assistant House Manager.

Qualifications

Experience working with adolescents or in a therapeutic community setting. Bachelor's degree required.

Certificates & Licenses

CASAC or CASAC-T certification required.
