About the Opportunity

The Floor Lead ensures an acceptable finished product for our customer. The person in this position is responsible for overseeing the production line leaders and temporary workforce to ensure the floor operates in a productive manner. The Floor Lead is also responsible for directing and training all new Line Leads in the production processes, safety and GMP’s. The floor lead will drive expectations and accountability and ensure all employees are in compliance with Menasha’s policies and procedures. This ideal candidate will be self‑driven, motivated, enjoys learning and wants to take on a challenge.

Essential Job Functions

The following duties are normal for this position. The incumbent may perform some or all of these duties however; it is not an exclusive or all‑inclusive list. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Work in conjunction with the Quality Department for positive production results
  • Conduct inspection of the product every hour, or more frequently if the job is complex or critical in its design or use
  • Know the rates and keep abreast of the jobs running in production
  • Responsible for work packets being filled out both correctly and accurately
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and performance in supervision of staff
  • Perform all computer functions as they pertain to the job
  • Serve as backup to Production Supervisor
  • Responsible for training line leaders in all aspects of production
  • Assist line leads in training line workers
  • Responsible for maintaining the company safety environment
  • Responsible for effectively managing company procedures and policies
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management/supervisors

Education & Experience
  • Education Desired - High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year of related experience or training in warehouse production
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Safety sensitive position – ability to work in a constant state of alertness and a safe manner
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as required based upon the needs of the business
  • Ability to work on a rotating shift as needed
  • Ability to effectively work in teams
  • Ability to work in a production-based environment with moving equipment and people
  • Ability to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of roles
  • Understand quality standards, methods, and reporting as required
  • Strong multi‑tasking skills
  • Ability to plan, in advance, for production in your area
  • Ability to effectively interpret instructions, both oral and written
  • Ability to produce at a high level through your staff
  • Ability to work with plant management for required results
  • Ability to process information and merchandise data through computer system
  • Know WMS systems (SAP), Microsoft Office
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
  • Primarily works in a refrigerated production and/or warehouse setting
  • Walking, standing, bending for duration of shift
  • Frequent lifting of 25 pounds or more

The expected salary range for this position is $26.00 per hour. This role is also eligible for an annual incentive plan and for a full benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance; basic term life, AD&D, Short‑ and Long‑term disability; EAP; 401(k) retirement savings plan; PTO and paid holidays.
