JBS is seeking an hourly Floor Janitor 1st Shift Team Member! Position starts at $18 per hour.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- To clean and sanitize machinery and floors in a production line setting
- Responsible for all basic cleaning in and around assigned area
- Set up, stock, and maintain cleaning equipment and supplies
- Monitor and maintain sanitation and organization of assigned areas
- Stay aware of your surroundings and notify a supervisor if you recognize a hazard
- Perform other duties as needed or as assigned
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent certification
- Ability to speak, read, and write English
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Must be well-organized with good attention to detail
- Display strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Adaptable and dependable with ability to follow direction and work cooperatively with others
- Must maintain a helpful and professional attitude and appearance
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed, but uninvolved, instructions and to deal with problems involving a few different variables.
- Strong desire to work in a hands-on work environment
- Good attendance and safety records
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must be able to work in a cold, damp environment
- Production and maintenance settings
- Exposure to various chemicals, machinery, and knives
- Very active position, requiring standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and crawling.
- Must be able to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information.
- Must be able to frequently and regularly use wrists, hands, and or fingers.
- Acute close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds throughout the day with a partner.
- Must be able to work for long hours in a no-kill food processing environment, where it is wet, damp, and cold. Employees are expected to remain in these conditions for most of their workdays.
