Job summary

Floor Coverings International is hiring flooring installers to perform precise residential installation across week-long travel routes. You will prep, measure, cut, and install flooring while maintaining high craftsmanship standards and prioritizing customer satisfaction in customers' homes.

The role requires lifting 50–75 lbs, driving to multiple locations, and using tools like wet saws, grinders, and mixers. A valid license and background check are mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Prep and install flooring in steps per company procedures with high attention to detail.
• Keep tools organized, clean, and maintain a safe work environment.
• Understand the scope of work for each project and review the project file.
• Properly handle company machinery and power tools.
• Be familiar with units of measurement and perform basic math calculations.
• Interact with customers in a friendly, trustworthy manner in the home.
• Ensure high quality company standards are met every time.
• Work to achieve high customer satisfaction in all aspects of the job.
• Travel throughout the week to various work locations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prep and install the flooring in steps according to company's procedures with high attention to detail and care
• Keep tools organized and clean and maintain a safe and clean work environment
• Understanding the scope of work of the project before you get there and familiarize yourself with the project file
• Responsible to properly handle company machinery and power tools
• Knowledge of units of measurement and able to complete simple math calculations
• Interact with customers in a friendly and polite manner, must be trustworthy and comfortable in a customer’s home
• Ensure high quality company standards are met every time
• Work to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction with every aspect of the job
• Job requires travel throughout the week

Qualifications:

• General Liability and Worker's Compensation Insurance are Required
• Minimum 3-5 years in residential flooring installation
• Valid driver’s license and functioning vehicle
• Ability to lift 50 - 75 lbs repeatedly
• The position requires repetitive crouching, squatting, standing, walking and lifting
• This position travels to various work locations throughout the week
• Must Possess All Necessary Trade Tools (Wet Saw, Grinder, Mixer, etc.), Work Truck; Van or SUV with Trailer
