Job summary

Helix Linear Technologies is seeking a Director of Operations to lead day-to-day manufacturing, planning, and supply chain across a precision environment. You will drive operational discipline, improve OTD, and scale the production organization while reporting to the CEO and partnering with senior leadership.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in manufacturing operations, aerospace/defense experience, and a proven ability to fix and optimize systems, with hands-on floor leadership in a machine

Qualifications

• 7+ years in manufacturing operations with direct leadership of production, planning, or quality functions.
• Has run a machine shop with CNC mills and lathes and understands precision machining.
• Aerospace and/or defense manufacturing experience.
• Demonstrated results improving OTD and delivery reliability in high-mix, low-volume environments.
• Proven track record of building and holding accountable a team of supervisors or managers.
• Experience building or fixing systems—planning, supplier, or cost-control systems.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day operations across manufacturing, planning, supply chain, and advanced manufacturing; on the floor daily.
• Improve OTD by addressing bottlenecks to approach 90%+.
• Improve throughput, utilization, and operating discipline in a high-mix, low-volume precision environment.
• Identify root causes on the floor and lead structured problem-solving to resolve them.
• Set SOP discipline and structure for growth, with more SKUs, shifts, and processes.
• Lead and develop a team of 4-5+ direct reports and the broader production organization.
• Coordinate with engineering, quality, supply chain, and sales to balance commitments with shop-floor reality.
