DESCRIPTION

Signature Cleaning Services Inc. is looking for a Floor and Carpet Technician who will undertake the Floor project duties of varied job sites. The tech’s duties will vary depending on the job site and specifications.The Floor and Carpet Technician will be responsible for performing specialized cleaning and maintenance tasks across various job sites. This position demands a high level of proficiency in specialized cleaning and maintenance techniques tailored to unique flooring needs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Perform high-quality carpet and floor cleaning including dusting, mopping, stripping, and waxing floors.
• Remove, clean, and scrub floors and carpets thoroughly.
• Rake all carpets following cleaning to ensure a uniform appearance.
• Move furniture as needed before and after cleaning.
• Ensure all equipment is returned clean and organized post-use.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures to maintain consistency and quality across all sites.
• Manage inventory and maintain stock levels of cleaning supplies.
• Place safety hazard signs in appropriate areas within the building to ensure the safety of all occupants.
• Respond promptly to major spills or urgent cleaning crises.
• Comply with all health and safety regulations to maintain a secure working environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Proven experience in carpet and floor cleaning.
• Hands-on experience with industrial cleaning equipment.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as standing, bending, squatting, and lifting over 40 lbs.
• Excellent verbal communication skills to effectively interact with cleaning staff, technicians, and customers; bilingual abilities in English and Spanish are advantageous.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and evenings.
• A valid driver's license is highly beneficial.
• Supervisory skills are a plus, indicating potential for leadership roles.
• High reliability and professional demeanor are critical for success in this role.

Experience/Education:

• Prior cleaning experience is essential, particularly with expertise in operating advanced cleaning machinery.
