Job summary

Dept of Veterans Services is seeking a Floor Tech I for the Davis & McDaniel Vet Care Ctr. Responsibilities include cleaning floors, carpets, and furnishings using appropriate methods and equipment, along with maintaining supplies and safe work areas.

The role requires basic knowledge of cleaning devices and adherence to department policies. Applicants must pass background checks and drug screens as part of the process.

Qualifications

• Some knowledge in the use of cleaning devices such as brooms, mops, buffers, and other cleaning equipment.

Responsibilities

• Applies cleaning skills, techniques, procedures and equipment for floors, carpets and furnishings, including stripping/refinishing floors and shampooing carpets.
• Maintain proper supply replenishment and cleanup of waste and bathroom areas as needed.
• Keep spaces clean and orderly; report equipment issues to supervisor and ensure equipment is cleaned after use.
