Job summary

Rialtohealth in Rialto, CA seeks a diligent Floor Technician to maintain a clean, safe, and compliant living environment in a long-term care setting. You will perform weekly floor care, buffing, waxing, and routine maintenance across the facility, while adhering to established policies and safety standards.

The role requires basic maintenance skills, knowledge of cleaning chemicals, and the ability to work with residents and staff.

Qualifications

• Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or GED.
• Must have knowledge and prior use of brusher, auto scrubber, side by side scrubber/water extraction.
• Must have knowledge of application of wax products, strippers, cleaners, and other chemicals.
• On-the-job training provided.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for weekly buffing and stripping/waxing of rooms to maintain a clean, polished environment for residents.
• Perform minor repairs on cove base or tiles in rooms needing attention.
• Develop preventative maintenance program.
• Auto scrub hallways and dining rooms; detail cleaning of corners and edges in hallways/locations.
• Minor maintenance including replacing light bulbs, cleaning fixtures, painting, and other repairs.
• Prepare vacant units for new residents meeting company standards.
• Ensure work areas are safe and presentable.
• Sweep and mop floors; vacuum.
• Follow proper chemical handling, disinfection, and solution mixing procedures.
• Notify supervisor about supplies, budget needs, and educational requirements.
