Janco Commercial Cleaning, LLC is seeking a Floor Care Technician to join our Anchorage, Alaska team. The role focuses on maintaining high cleanliness standards across floor areas, including vinyl, ceramic tile, and carpeted surfaces, using a range of cleaning equipment.

Qualifications

• Floor Tech responsibilities include maintenance of all floor areas and upholding high cleanliness standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and cleans floor areas, refinishing and maintaining vinyl flooring, ceramic tiles, and carpets.
• Operates cleaning equipment such as wringers, vacuum, burnisher, scrubber, polisher, and carpet extractors.
• Sweeps, mops, vacuums, spot-cleans carpets and furniture, and arranges furniture after cleaning.
• Cleans and stores equipment, returns unused supplies, and reports malfunctioning equipment.
• Performs custodial duties and cleans patient areas as assigned.

Job Skills / Requirements

Floor Tech are responsible for of the maintenance of all floor areas and for sustaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation

Refinishes and maintains vinyl flooring, maintains ceramic tile floors and cleans carpeted areas

Performs a variety of other duties as needed including cleaning of patient areas and custodial duties as assigned

Operates cleaning equipment such as manual and electric wringers, vacuum, burnisher, scrubber, polisher, and carpet extractors

Sweeps and mops floor areas, vacuums carpets, spot-cleans carpets and furniture using appropriate solutions, and arranges furniture and equipment in an orderly fashion after cleaning assigned area

Properly cleans and stores equipment

Returns unused supplies to janitor closet

Cleans equipment and ensures all items are replaced in an orderly manner

Reports any equipment that is malfunctioning, or needs preventative maintenance

Work Schedule:
Janco offers flexible shift options based on building needs and client schedules:

1st Shift (Day Shift): Typically between 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

2nd Shift (Evening Shift): Typically between 6:00 PM – 11:00 PM

3rd Shift (Overnight Shift): Typically between 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM

Most janitorial positions are on 2nd or 3rd shift, Sunday through Thursday.
