Job summary

CCS Facility Services is seeking a Floor Technician to maintain hard floor and carpeted surfaces at assigned facilities. You will operate floor care equipment, perform cleaning and restoration tasks, and follow safety procedures to meet company and client standards.

Responsibilities include floor stripping, waxing, sealing, polishing, and carpet care, with attention to safety, inventory, and quality. The role may require lifting and flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Previous floor care experience preferred.
• Experience operating commercial floor equipment preferred.
• Ability to safely handle cleaning chemicals and supplies.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to read and follow instructions regarding chemical use and equipment operation.
• Valid driver's license may be required for some locations.

Responsibilities

• Perform floor care services including stripping, waxing, sealing, buffing, burnishing, and polishing of hard floor surfaces.
• Operate floor machines, burnishers, scrubbers, extractors, and other floor care equipment safely and effectively.
• Clean and maintain carpets through vacuuming, shampooing, spot cleaning, and extraction methods.
• Maintain grout, tile, concrete, vinyl, linoleum, terrazzo, and other flooring surfaces.
• Follow all safety procedures when handling cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Inspect floors regularly and report maintenance concerns or safety hazards to management.
• Remove and dispose of trash as needed during floor maintenance projects.
• Set up and remove safety signs and barriers during floor care operations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of equipment and supply storage areas.
• Ensure adequate inventory of floor care supplies and notify supervisors when additional materials are needed.
• Complete assigned projects within scheduled timeframes while maintaining quality standards.
• Assist with general cleaning duties and special projects as assigned.
