ServiceMaster Services is recruiting for a part-time/hourly field technician in the Richmond area to handle floor care, project cleaning, and problem-solving across client buildings. You will train staff, set cleaning expectations, and travel between sites on a daily or weekly route.

The role emphasizes flexibility, strong communication, and the ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of service. Weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• Authorization to work in the United States
• 18 years of age or older
• A valid driver's license and a good driving record, with no major offenses in the last 4 years
• Supervisory experience preferred. You will set cleaning expectations, train staff members, and diagnose issues on your own
• Flexibility. Day-to-day responsibilities and the people you work with will vary
• Ability to communicate effectively with client contacts, building occupants, and staff members
• Education and work history that demonstrate work ethic and responsibility
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision and as a contributing member of a team
• Prior floor care experience is a strong plus. If you have run a buffer or an extractor say so in your application
• Able to stay on your feet for the full shift and perform all tasks, including walking, bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, pushing, pulling, kneeling, crouching, and lifting.

Responsibilities

• Perform floor and surface care across client sites, including stripping and waxing, buffing, carpet extraction.
• Travel between client buildings in the Richmond area on a daily/nightly or weekly route
• Define cleaning expectations at the sites you cover and train staff on correct technique and chemical use
• Diagnose problems and identify opportunities to improve cleaning activities at each building
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot commercial floor equipment, and report repair needs
• Handle project and detail work outside the regular scope
• Ensure customer satisfaction through prompt responses to client requests and concerns. Cover cleaning positions for absent or vacationing employees
