Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a dedicated Floor Care Technician for our Environmental Services team on the evening shift. You will maintain carpet, vinyl, rubber, and ceramic floors to established standards, ensuring a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

Responsibilities include carpet extraction, routine and deep cleaning, and floor restoration using approved methods and equipment while following infection prevention protocols.

Qualifications

• Prior floor care or environmental services experience preferred.
• Ability to operate and maintain floor care equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and time management skills.
• Ability to lift, push, and maneuver equipment and supplies.

Responsibilities

• Clean, maintain, and restore flooring surfaces using approved methods and equipment.
• Perform routine and deep cleaning of carpets, including extraction and spot treatment.
• Strip, wax, buff, and polish hard floors (vinyl, rubber, ceramic, etc.).
• Operate floor care equipment such as buffers, scrubbers, and extractors safely and effectively.
• Follow infection prevention and safety protocols at all times.
• Maintain equipment and ensure proper storage and care of tools and supplies.
• Respond promptly to service requests and address spills or hazards as needed.
• Adhere to Environmental Services policies and standard operating procedures.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this position is $15.45per hour - $25.03per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health.
