Job summary

Harvard Maintenance, Inc. is seeking a Janitorial Floor Tech to clean, maintain, and restore carpeted and hard surface floors across facilities. The role requires expertise with floor care equipment and safe chemical usage, delivering high-quality service under the Environmental Services Department.

Schedule is Monday–Friday 6:00 PM–2:30 AM; some weekends may be required. Company offers medical, dental, life, LTD, and a 401K plan. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in floor care, janitorial, or commercial cleaning a plus.
• Knowledge of floor care techniques for various surfaces.
• Familiarity with operating and maintaining floor care equipment.
• Understanding of cleaning chemicals and safe usage practices.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality service and professionalism, upholding the standards and integrity of the Environmental Services Department.
• Clean, maintain, and care for a variety of floor types, including tile, carpet, and brick.
• Complete assigned tasks efficiently and on schedule.
• Follow established procedures for the correct use of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
• Operate, maintain, and care for floor cleaning equipment safely and properly.
• Consistently observe safety protocols, including the use of
• wet floor
• signs and other precautions.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.
• Promptly report any safety hazards or concerns.
