Job summary

Ravenwood Specialty Care in Waterloo, IA is hiring a Part-time Floor Care Technician to keep resident rooms and common areas clean and safe. You will perform routine and deep floor cleaning, operate floor care equipment, and follow infection control guidelines in a 176-bed long-term care community.

The ideal candidate communicates clearly in English, works well with a compassionate care team, and pays close attention to detail and safety.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and deep floor care, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, carpet shampooing, stripping, waxing, and buffing.
• Clean resident rooms, hallways, dining areas, and common spaces.
• Safely operate floor care equipment and follow guidelines for cleaning chemicals.
• Follow infection control, safety, and MSDS protocols.
• Identify and report damaged flooring, trip hazards, or equipment issues.
• Support special cleaning projects and emergency cleanups as needed.
• Work respectfully in resident-occupied areas and collaborate with the care team.

What You’ll Do & Key Responsibilities
