Job summary

Yona Solutions in Saint Paul, MN, is seeking a Floor Care Technician to join our team and help keep our facilities clean and welcoming for residents, visitors, and staff. You will perform hard-surface floor maintenance, carpet care, and operate floor care equipment across large areas, while following safety procedures.

The role requires prior floor care experience, knowledge of floor care equipment, physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and the ability to work varied shifts.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a floor care technician or related role preferred.
• Proven knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques.
• Must be able to follow safety procedures due to physical risks.
• Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to be at work on time and at varying times of day/night.
• Must be able to accomplish responsibilities without supervision.
• Must provide a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Maintains knowledge of principles of hard-surface floor maintenance and uses proper procedures on hard floor care including stripping, refinishing and burnishing.
• Uses equipment for cleaning large floor areas.
• Follows proper procedures on carpet care including shampooing, extractions, spot cleaning, vacuuming, etc.
• Operates floor care equipment as assigned.
• Performs maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types.
• Disinfects floor care equipment after each use.
• Adheres to safety precautions and proper mixing of cleaning solutions.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Responsibilities:
