Job summary

Yona Solutions is seeking a Floor Care Technician to uphold clean and welcoming spaces for residents, visitors, and coworkers. You will apply knowledge of hard-surface floor care, including stripping, refinishing and burnishing, and operate floor care equipment to maintain large floor areas with care and safety.

Responsibilities include carpet care such as shampooing, extractions, and vacuuming; routine maintenance of floor surfaces; safe mixing of cleaning solutions; and performing duties with

Qualifications

• Prior floor care experience preferred.
• Knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques required.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and precautions.
• Requires frequent lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to arrive on time and work varying times.
• Ability to perform responsibilities without supervision.

Responsibilities

• Maintains knowledge of principles of hard-surface floor maintenance and uses proper procedures on hard floor care including stripping, refinishing and burnishing.
• Utilizes equipment for cleaning of large area of floor surface.
• Follows proper procedures on carpet including shampooing, extractions, spot cleaning, vacuuming, etc.
• Operates floor care equipment as assigned.
• Performs maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types.
• Disinfects floor care equipment after each use.
• Responsible for safe and proper mixing and use of cleaning solutions and adheres to safety precautions.
• Other duties and tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a floor care technician or in related role preferred
• Proven knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques required
• Must be able to follow safety procedures and precautions due to physical risks
• Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 50 lbs
• Must be able to be at work on time and at varying times of day/night
• Must be able to accomplish all responsibilities without supervision or other employee assistance
• Must provide a criminal background check
