Job summary

St. Mary Medical Center in Langhorne, PA is hiring a Floor Care Technician for the Day Shift (7:00 am – 3:30 pm) with every other weekend commitment. The role includes floor cleaning, carpet care, and basic maintenance of equipment to ensure a clean, safe environment for patients and staff.

Responsibilities include routine mopping, vacuuming, upholstery care, and adhering to all safety procedures. A HS diploma or equivalent is preferred and at least 1 year of experience is required.

• 1 year experience (required).
• 2-4 years experience (preferred).

Position Purpose:

• The Floor Care Technician floor care work including routine mopping (dry and damp) buffing, waxing and burnishing all hard surfaces.

As a “Floor Care Technician” you will:

• Provide floor maintenance, including but not limited to vacuuming, shampooing and extracting carpets, stairwells and upholstery.

• Performs preventive maintenance checks on all equipment prior to use and at the end of shift.

• Provides other cleaning services such as dusting, routine restroom, offices, halls and classrooms or other duties as assigned.

• Follows all safety requirements and procedures at all times.

• Maintains equipment, tools and storage areas in clean, orderly and good operating condition.

• Respects Hospital and Company property.

• Responds rapidly and thoroughly to emergencies, special needs, spills, etc.

Minimum Qualifications:

• HS diploma or equivalency (preferred)

• 1 year experience (required)

• 2-4 years experience (preferred)
