Job summary

Yona Solutions is seeking a Floor Care Technician to join our team in Hamtramck, Michigan. You will maintain hard floor and carpet areas to ensure a clean, safe, welcoming environment for residents and visitors.

Responsibilities include using floor care equipment, performing stripping, refinishing, burnishing, cleaning large areas, and following safety procedures. Prior floor care experience is preferred; ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work varying shifts is required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a floor care technician or in a related role is preferred.
• Proven knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and precautions.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Maintains knowledge of floor maintenance principles for hard surfaces and applies stripping, refinishing and burnishing.
• Operates floor care equipment to clean large floor areas.
• Performs carpet care including shampooing, extractions, spot cleaning, and vacuuming.
• Disinfects floor care equipment after use and adheres to safety precautions.

Responsibilities:

• Maintains knowledge of principles of hard-surface floor maintenance and use proper procedures on hard floor care including stripping, refinishing and burnishing
• Utilizes equipment for cleaning of large area of floor surface
• Follows proper procedures on carpet including shampooing, extractions, spot cleaning, vacuuming, etc
• Operates floor care equipment as assigned
• Performs maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types
• Disinfects floor care equipment after each use
• Responsible for the safe and proper mixing and use of cleaning solutions and adheres to all safety precautions.
• Other duties and tasks as assigned by the supervisor

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a floor care technician or in related role preferred
• Proven knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques required
• Must be able to follow safety procedures and precautions due to physical risks
• Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 50 lbs
• Must be able to be at work on time and at varying times of day/night
• Must be able to accomplish all responsibilities without supervision or other employee assistance
• Must provide a criminal background check
