Job summary

Kadima at Campbelltown in Missouri is seeking a dedicated housekeeping associate to perform floor care and general cleaning across resident areas. The role involves stripping and waxing floors, sweeping, mopping, and maintaining equipment while observing infection-control and safety policies.

You will coordinate floor projects with resident care schedules, protect residents with wet floor signs, and ensure privacy when cleaning occupied rooms.

Responsibilities

• Strip and wax floors 2 to 3 days per week or per schedule.
• Sweep and mop hallways, common areas, and resident rooms.
• Buff and maintain floors to keep a clean appearance.
• Remove old wax and apply new finish using floor-care equipment.
• Place wet floor signs and secure work areas to protect residents, visitors, staff.
• Coordinate floor work with resident care, meals, activities, and high-traffic periods.
• Move light furniture for floor cleaning and return.
• Clean spills promptly and address floor-related safety concerns.
• Maintain floor machines, mops, buckets, and other equipment.
• Store chemicals safely per SDS and manufacturer instructions.
• Report damaged flooring, trip hazards, leaks or maintenance concerns.
• Respect resident privacy when cleaning occupied rooms.

Job description

• Strip and wax facility floors 2 to 3 days per week or according to the established floor-care schedule.

• Sweep and mop facility hallways, common areas, and resident rooms.

• Buff, scrub, and maintain floors as needed to maintain a clean and professional appearance.

• Remove old wax and apply new floor finish using appropriate floor-care equipment and chemicals.

• Place appropriate wet floor/caution signs and secure work areas to protect residents, visitors, and staff.

• Coordinate floor work around resident care, meals, activities, and high-traffic periods.

• Move light furniture as necessary for proper floor cleaning and return items to their appropriate locations.

• Clean spills promptly and address floor-related safety concerns.

• Maintain and properly clean floor machines, mops, buckets, and other assigned equipment after use.

• Properly store chemicals and follow Safety Data Sheet (SDS) and manufacturer instructions.

• Report damaged flooring, loose tiles, trip hazards, leaks, or other maintenance concerns immediately.

• Maintain resident privacy and dignity when cleaning occupied resident rooms.

• Follow facility infection-control, safety, and housekeeping policies.

• Assist the housekeeping department with additional cleaning duties as needed.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, bend, reach, push and pull floor-care equipment, and lift supplies or equipment necessary to perform assigned duties.
