Job summary

OSF HealthCare is seeking a Floor Care Technician to provide a safe, hygienic environment for patients, visitors and staff. You will perform timely cleaning in patient rooms, common areas, hallways and surgical/procedural areas to support facility needs.

Required: 6 months in environmental services or floor care; excellent interpersonal and communication skills; High School Diploma or GED; preferred: 1 year healthcare setting experience.

Expected pay for this position is $17.66 - $19.63/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position.

Overview

POSITION SUMMARY: The Floor Care Technician, in accordance with standards of quality, is responsible for providing a safe and hygienic environment for the benefit of patients, visitors, and staff. This role is responsible for ensuring timely cleans in various areas including common areas, patient rooms, hallways/corridors, surgical, procedural and specialty environments in order to meet facility needs. The Floor Care Technician performs additional functions as needed to provide EVS support.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience:

• 6 months' environmental services or floor care experience

Other Skills/ Knowledge:

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
