Job summary

TriStar Centennial Medical Center in Nashville is seeking a Floor Care Specialist to maintain all resilient flooring and carpet across the hospital. You will operate vacuums, burnishers, scrubbers, and carpet extractors; follow cleaning protocols; and ensure wet-floor signage and PPE compliance.

The role requires a high school diploma and 2+ years of floor maintenance experience; you will follow infection control policies, maintain equipment, and support daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 2+ years’ experience in resilient floor care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain floor care of all resilient flooring and carpet throughout the hospital.
• Operate floor equipment including vacuums, burnishers, scrubbers, wet vacs, carpet extractor.
• Follow floor procedures: dust mopping, mopping, stripping, applying floor finish, burnishing.
• Ensure proper wet floor signage and PPE use.
• Maintain daily/weekly/monthly floor maintenance schedule.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Environmental Service Floor Specialist is responsible for the floor care of all resilient flooring and carpet throughout the hospital. Performs general Hospitality Associate, Environmental Services I duties when needed.

What you will do in this role:

• Operational knowledge of all floor equipment to include vacuums, burnishers, scrubbers, wet vacs, carpet extractor,imop.
• Knowledge of floor procedures including dust mopping, mopping, stripping, application of floor finish, burnishing.
• Operational knowledge of floor chemicals used in the hospital. Operational knowledge of floor pads used for daily maintenance, burnishing, and stripping.
• Ensure proper signage is placed at theappropriate locationswhen hazards (i.e.wet floor warnings) are plausible.
• Responsible for proper handling of all chemicals as well as following proper infection control policies and proper PPE use.
• Demonstrates a knowledge of equipment used tomaintainand clean floors. Canidentifymechanical issues with the equipment to be reportedtimelyand appropriately.
• Responsible for cleaning andmaintainingflooring in patient and non-patient areas, offices,common areas, hallways, andcommon arearest rooms to a high standard.
• Maintains a daily,weeklyand monthly floor maintenance schedule.
• Responsible for the care and cleaning of all floor equipment

What qualifications you will need:

• HS Diploma or equivalent preferred
• 2+ years’ experience for the care and maintenance of resilient floors preferred
