Job summary

St. Elizabeth Healthcare is hiring a Housekeeper Floor Tech to join our Edgewood Environmental Services Team. Shift/Hours: Full Time 40 Hours, First Shift.

Under supervision, perform semi-skilled cleaning duties focused on floor care and carpet care, including stripping and applying new finish, vacuuming, spot cleaning and deep extraction. Responsible for sanitation, safety, equipment upkeep and infection control. Demonstrates respect and empathy in every interaction.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and write; ability to be trained and follow directions.
• Specialized knowledge includes heavy lifting up to 60 lbs.
• 6 months prior experience in hard floor restoring/restoration including carpet care.

Responsibilities

• Perform restoration or project cleaning to maintain high appearance, including stripping and refinishing floors.
• Dust mopping, damp mopping or vacuuming corridors for cleanliness.
• Follow safety procedures, report safety concerns and incidents.
• Move furniture/equipment to allow relocation or restorative cleaning.
• Handle daily cleaning in non-patient and patient areas and restrooms as required.
• Remove trash to proper storage areas and dispose properly.
• Set up meetings and distribute audio-visual equipment.
