Description

The Floorcare Maintenance Technician role within Real Estate Operations is responsible for floor maintenance, upholstery cleaning, and providing temporary coverage for routine office cleaning and janitorial services within our Retail and back-office facilities.

In this role, you will manage a portfolio of sites where your duties include stripping and waxing floors, carpet cleaning, and deep cleaning various floor types. Work orders are issued for each location to be completed twice yearly.

Primary Responsibilities

• Cleaning and maintaining various flooring types (VCT, ceramic tile, carpet, wood, LVT, vinyl sheet, rubber tile, etc.)
• Using floor machines and extractors to clean and sanitize floors and upholstery
• Traveling to facilities within designated routes/radii
• Maintaining floors and upholstery in assigned facilities
• Executing normal cleaning tasks and special projects as needed, including dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, ceiling vent cleaning, restroom cleaning
• Closing work orders using Computerized Maintenance Management System via cellphone, iPad, or computer
• Communicating professionally with colleagues and customers
• Maintaining inventory of supplies, tools, and materials
• Maintaining company vehicle and electronics

Required Skills and Experience

• Experience in floor cleaning roles
• Ability to perform cleaning tasks and cover janitorial duties as needed
• Customer service experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• English proficiency (reading and writing)
• Ability to travel as required
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to ascend/descend stairs
• Work efficiently under pressure and prioritize tasks

Education and Certifications

• Valid Driver’s License

Hours & Work Schedule

40 hours per week, with some overtime possible during evenings and weekends.

Work hours: 4:00 PM to 2:00 AM, Monday through Thursday.
