Job summary

Oasis Rehabilitation and Nursing is seeking a Floor Care Associate for a part-time weekend shift. The role covers floor maintenance across offices, resident rooms, corridors, lobbies and dining areas, including dusting, mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, and shampooing.

The ideal candidate follows oral and written instructions, is punctual, cooperates with staff, and can perform routine, repetitive tasks with minimal supervision after training.

Qualifications

• Experience in floor care preferred.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Must be able to be at work on time.
• Ability to cooperate with other employees.
• Willingness to perform routine, repetitive tasks on a continuous basis.
• Knowledge of how to strip, wax and burnish floors.
• Must be able to accomplish all responsibilities without supervision after training.
• Must be able to understand and complete all In-Services.

Responsibilities

• Maintain floors (dust and wet mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, shampooing, extraction & bonneting) in offices, resident rooms, corridors, lobbies, entrances and dining areas.
• Complete cleaning area according to schedule and ensure timely completion.
• Report equipment or product needs and malfunctions to supervisor promptly.
• Handle cleaning solutions safely and follow all safety precautions.
• Lift and move up to 50 pounds; perform bending and reaching as required.

Shift available: Part-time Weekends

Position Summary:

• Our Floor Care Associates are generally responsible for the overall floor maintenance of hard surface and carpet (dust and wet mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, shampooing, extraction & bonneting) of areas that include offices, resident rooms, corridors, lobbies, entrances, stairwells and other public areas such as dining rooms.
• Our Floor Care Associates are responsible for the satisfactory and timely completion of the assigned cleaning area according to schedule.
• Reports equipment/cleaning product needs and or malfunctions to supervisor in a timely fashion.
• Is responsible for the safe and proper mixing and use of cleaning solutions and adheres to all safety precautions.
• Work involves pulling and pushing, carrying weight up to 50 pounds, twisting, bending and reaching from floor to waist height and from waist to above head.
• Applies stripper to floors (slippery surface) to remove old wax then refinishes floors with new wax product.
• Our Floor Care Associates are able to follow oral instructions is pleasant, tactful and courteous and cooperative with the supervisor, co-workers, residents and client staff.

Additional Requirements:

• Must be able to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend and walk for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to work around cleaning products.

Pay: $24.65 per hour
