Floor Assembly Technician and Crane Operator (P)

Join Siemens Energy’s manufacturing team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of energy. As a Floor Assembly Technician and Crane Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient assembly of critical energy components, utilizing overhead cranes to move large, heavy equipment and materials throughout the production floor. Your day will involve a dynamic mix of hands‑on mechanical assembly and skilled crane operation, ensuring quality and safety are maintained to the highest standards. Relocation will not be offered for this role.

How You’ll Make An Impact
  • Performs a sequence of predefined, specialised and different mechanic assembly operations, which includes specialised testing and problem analysis, in cooperation with a team of differently qualified assembly technicians.
  • Contributes to planning and effective resource allocation in the production group (mechanic assembly).
  • Plans own work steps in cooperation with other team members.
  • Performs a set of qualified assembly operations, which may include all electronic, electro‑mechanic and mechanic assemblies or sub‑assemblies.
  • Constantly monitors availability of parts, tools and machines needed to complete product in the relevant subsequent steps of the overall assembly process.
  • Uses specific equipment and/or a range of specialised tools and machines and maintains functionality.
  • Contributes to plan, execute and analyse the results of test routines and procedures, often in a complex test environment.
  • Assists in resolving routine manufacturing related problems affecting daily operations.
  • Follow established safety procedures.
  • Able to achieve the crane operator and rigger certification and complete complex lifts safely.

  • Stoop, kneel, crouch, twist.
  • Will need to pass basic math skills test to demonstrate ability to obtain certification.
