Job summary

HHS Environmental Services, LLC (USA) is recruiting for Floor Tech/Utility Technician roles at Bayhealth - Kent. The positions include full-time and part-time shifts with evening and morning options and wage of $18.40/hour.

Responsibilities include floor cleaning, buffing, stripping, following procedures, and delivering friendly service within hospital settings. Requirements include being at least 17, strong English communication, teamwork, neat hygiene, and in-uniform presentation.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 17 years old.
• Communicate effectively in English and work well in a team environment.
• Must practice good personal hygiene, be neatly groomed, and be in uniform.
• Preferred: Housekeeping experience (cleaning, environmental services, custodian, janitorial, room attendant, floor care technician, hotel operations, healthcare, computer tech).

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning, buffing, and bonneting procedures to maintain floors.
• Perform floor stripping and extraction projects as assigned.
• Follow all HHS cleaning procedures and best practices.
• Provide friendly and kind service to all individuals in the hospital.
• Assist team members and management as needed to help the department operate efficiently.

Wage: $18.40/hour

Full-time and part-time positions available

Work Shift

Full-time Shifts for Floor Tech: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM

Part-time Shifts for Floor/Utility Tech: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (24 hours per week)

Qualifications

• Must be at least 17 years old
• Communicate effectively in English and work well in a team environment
• Must practice good personal hygiene, be neatly groomed, and be in uniform
• Preferred: Housekeeping experience (cleaning, environmental services, custodian, janitorial, room attendant, floor care technician, hotel operations, healthcare, computer tech)

Physical Requirements

• Standing, walking, squatting, bending, twisting, kneeling, and reaching continuously throughout a shift.
• Pushing, pulling, and lifting furniture and equipment (25 - 100 lb.) frequently.
• Pushing and pulling carts or equipment (over 100 lb.) on tile and carpeted floors continuously throughout a shift.
• Must handle chemicals including bleach, wax, and disinfectants.
• Must be able to operate equipment necessary to perform essential functions of the job.
