Job summary

SouthState Bank is seeking a Universal Banker who serves as a full-service, single point of contact in the branch for customers' financial needs. The role combines teller duties with Financial Service Representative responsibilities to attract, expand, and retain customer relationships.

You will process transactions, open deposit accounts, discuss products and services, resolve questions with courtesy, and stay compliant with banking regulations while promoting self-service options.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Cash handling, sales, and customer service.
• Language: English reading/writing/speaking.

Responsibilities

• Processes teller transactions for savings, checking, and loan accounts.
• Opens new deposit accounts and handles services such as stop payments, wire transfers, and other maintenance tasks within limits.
• Identifies customer needs and expands relationships through referrals as outlined in goals for this position.
• Ensures compliance with banking regulations and follows security and audit procedures.
