EMPLOYMENT ANNOUNCEMENT

Harrisburg is located in the Mid-Willamette Valley between Eugene and Corvallis.

POSTING DATE: October 22, 2026

POSITION: Floating Teacher 26/27 SY

JOB SUMMARY: The Floating Teacher provides instructional coverage across classrooms and grade levels based on the district’s daily needs, ensuring continuity of instruction when regularly assigned teachers are absent or additional instructional coverage is required. This position requires flexibility, adaptability, and strong classroom management skills, as assignments may vary daily based on staffing needs, student needs, and the employee’s qualifications and licensure. The Floating Teacher performs the duties of a licensed classroom teacher as assigned, including delivering instruction, managing student behavior, and maintaining a safe, structured, and engaging learning environment. Depending on district needs, qualifications, and available positions, opportunities may arise to transition into a more specific grade-level or subject-area teaching assignment.

SALARY RANGE: $45,359.87 to $87,503.29 a year- Full time, prorated for the remainder of the school year.

Placement on the salary schedule will be commensurate with education and experience and will follow District policy GCBA.

BENEFITS: Employer-paid insurance CAP to assist with health, dental, and vision premiums, employer-paid Basic Life and AD&D policies. Personal leave, sick leave, paid holidays, and a generous PERS retirement contribution (if applicable) for a full-time position, prorated for the remainder of the school year. Harrisburg operates on a 4-day school week, M-TH.
