Job summary

Hy-Vee is seeking a Floating Registered Pharmacist to provide patient care across multiple Hy-Vee pharmacy locations. You will fill and verify prescriptions, counsel patients, and uphold HIPAA while supporting the team and manager in their absence.

You will participate in immunizations, MTM, and pharmacy operations, traveling across stores to ensure quality service and adherence to regulations.

Qualifications

• College degree and licensure in pharmacy required; must maintain continuing education to keep license active.
• 6 months to 1 year of similar or related work experience required.
• Medication Therapy Management (MTM) preferred.
• Ability to administer immunizations required.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service by greeting customers with a smile and learning their names.
• Fill and verify prescriptions and counsel patients in accordance with OBRA '90 and state/federal laws.
• Assist with controlled substance inventory and with inventory control and invoicing.
• Balance third-party accounts and assist with ordering and merchandising OTC products.
• Coach and train pharmacy staff and participate in ongoing education.
• Visit schools, doctors' offices, and senior centers to market pharmacy services.
• Build growth and sales through counseling and wellness programs and ensure regulatory compliance.
