Responsibilities

  • Coordinate task inclusion before project starts and ensure adequate days for checks.
  • Set up DPASS and DSR with Continuous Improvement Director for heavy checks.
  • Schedule post-check review after 15 flight cycles.
  • Collaborate with AMOS ACC for AMOS scheduling.
  • Review training records to identify deficiencies.
  • Schedule workflow with departments to keep aircraft on schedule.
  • Handle all parts during repair: storage, control, segregation, and tagging.
  • Schedule maintenance staffing for each customer visit.
  • Mutilate parts per scrap materials program.
  • Request additional manpower, equipment, and data as needed.
  • Track man-hours and oversee budgets and estimates.
  • Review completed paperwork for proper documentation and signatures.

Job Title: Floating Project Manager

Department: Maintenance

Reports To: Director of Base Maintenance

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • The Floating Project manager will work with all Project managers and both 121 planning and 145 planning groups to ensure all tasks are added before the project starts and that we have enough days for the check.
  • They will work with Continuous Improvement Director to set up the DPASS and DSR for the heavy checks.
  • Set up the post check review after the 15 flight cycles after the heavy checks.
  • Work with the AMOS ACC group with setting up AMOS mobile and AMOS scheduling.
  • Reviewing the training records of his/her subordinates to identify any deficiencies that require additional training.
  • Scheduling the workflow with other departments as needed to ensure that the aircraft stays on schedule.
  • Proper handling of all parts while in the repair process. This includes storage, control, segregation, and identification of all articles removed from or awaiting installation on an aircraft.
  • Scheduling maintenance personnel staffing for each customer visit, thus ensuring a quality product is delivered to the customer in a timely manner.
  • Mutilating parts in accordance with the scrap materials program.
  • Requesting additional manpower, equipment, and technical data needed to complete a customer aircraft in a timely manner.
  • Tracking man-hours on each customer visit and directly oversee budgets and estimates.
  • Reviewing completed paperwork for proper documentation and signatures.

The duties and responsibilities of the Project Manager may be delegated to any qualified assistant; however, such delegation does not relieve the Project Manager of the overall responsibility.

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed above are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High school graduate, some college and/or technical school desirable. A&P license required. Must be certified under 14 CFR Part 65. Minimum of 20 years Heavy Turbine powered aircraft maintenance required. Experience on Boeing equipment is a plus.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, write and understand spoken and written English. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to give verbal and written direction to assigned staff.
