Applicants must ALREADY HAVE a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) class A or B with Passenger ('P') endorsement, and CANNOT HAVE restrictions: 'L' or 'Z' (not able to drive vehicles with air brakes) or 'N' (passenger endorsement restriction).

Reporting Location: 300 Prince St. Shippensburg, PA 17257 (Shippensburg Office - Richard D. Rife Alumni House). Will support services in Shippensburg, Cumberland, and Franklin counties.

Pay: $50,000 - $55,000 with competitive, low-cost benefits.

Job Summary:

This position is critical in helping the Susquehanna Regional Transportation Authority meet its mission of mobility. It involves maintaining excellent customer service, safe, reliable, and on-time performance of SRTA's fixed route and specialized transit systems. Responsibilities include supervising dispatchers and drivers, resolving operational issues, ensuring policy compliance, and maintaining good labor and employee relations.

Key Reporting Relationship:

Reports to the Site Manager or COO. Supervises SRTA operational personnel.

Essential Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Experience:

• Monitor daily operations, support transit operators, and resolve issues related to service and customer inquiries.
• Ensure compliance with ADA, FTA, PennDot, and SRTA policies; handle personnel actions in coordination with HR.
• Supervise dispatchers and operators, evaluate performance, and maintain operational results such as on-time performance and safety standards.
• Coordinate vehicle safety, driver competency, and respond to incidents or emergencies.
• Contribute to process improvements and safety management systems.
• Train employees, document procedures, and support team functions.
• Respond to emergencies by coordinating with management, law enforcement, and emergency personnel.

Certificates and Licenses Required:

• Valid class 'B' CDL with passenger endorsement and lifted air brake restriction, not under suspension or revocation.
• Current DOT medical card.
• Subject to US DOT Drug and Alcohol testing requirements.
