Job summary

RadNet in New York City is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to float across centers in the Bronx and upper Manhattan. The NP will be licensed and work with physicians to deliver comprehensive patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment and management within legal scope.

Qualifications

• Maintain current and valid state licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner.
• Current NP certification from a national association and a valid DEA registration number with BLS certification.
• Advanced degree (MSN with NP specialty, post-master's certificate, or doctoral degree) from an accredited NP program.
• Continuing education and licensing per state law.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with ability to coordinate with doctors and staff.

Responsibilities

• Order and administer injections and medications within scope.
• Oversee IVs and injections for contrast exams.
• Monitor medications for CCTA examinations.
• Review lab and diagnostic results with physicians and patients when appropriate.
• Maintain crash carts and emergency equipment.
• Assist patients with lift devices and exams as needed.
• Write and refill prescriptions and educate patients on medications.
• Assist physicians during biopsy procedures.
• Assist injured patients, take vital signs, and recognize abnormal vitals.
• Document patient histories and medical records as per protocol.
• Coordinate care with health care team and physicians.
• Counsel patients and families on wellness and prevention.
• Provide early intervention and make referrals as needed.
• Use PPE and universal precautions.
