Job summary

Medical Specialists of the Palm Beaches is seeking a dependable Medical Assistant – Float to support multiple office locations. You will assist with patient preparation, triage, vital signs, and education, ensuring smooth clinical workflows.

The role requires adaptability, clinical competence, and comfort working in a fast-paced environment with HMO knowledge for accurate coding and documentation.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years in a medical setting preferred; certification a plus.
• Knowledge of HMO insurance plans required.
• Familiarity with Athena EMR, CPT, and ICD-10 coding preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication and accurate documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Float between designated office locations to provide clinical support as needed.
• Perform patient triage and assessments.
• Obtain and record patient vital signs.
• Assist physicians with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Provide patient education and instructions as directed.
