The Float MA performs tasks within the MA scope of practice, ensures efficient patient flow, and upholds high-quality patient-centered care while following organizational policies and federal/state requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and completion of a CA-approved MA training program.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required.
• MA certification (CCMA, RMA, CMA, or NCMA) preferred but not required unless mandated by specialty or payer programs.
• Knowledge of clinical workflows, medical terminology, and basic anatomy/physiology.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively.
• Proficiency with EMR systems and basic computer applications.
