Job description

Provides fast, friendly, helpful, and efficient service to all Price Chopper customers. Manages the day-to-day operation of the meat department, including fresh meat, deli, frozen, and custom cut departments (where applicable), to meet financial goals, manage inventory, and ensure compliance with policies. Ensures excellent customer relations by offering courteous service and high-quality products to promote sales.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Does not supervise associates regularly.
Provides fast, friendly, helpful, and efficient customer service.
Handles and merchandises all meat products according to company policy.
Displays comprehensive knowledge of all meat products.
Greet customers with a smile, make eye contact, and thank them for their business.
Maintains a neat and organized workstation following 5S standards.
Achieves all financial targets for the Meat Department as outlined in the store profit plan.
Manages daily operations, including scheduling and training.
Orders meat products and manages inventory control.
Cuts meat using knives, saws, cubers, slicers, and grinders, adhering to safety standards.
Oversees all Meat Department staff, ensuring policy compliance and training.
Maintains all corporate assets and adheres to sanitation and safety standards.
Maintains logs and records as per store policies.
Supports store management as needed.
Controls shrink and manages other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must be at least 18 years old. Demonstrates ability to manage others and follow through to meet objectives.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or equivalent, 3+ years of related experience, strong communication skills, and basic computer skills. Performance reviews must be satisfactory.
