Job summary

Jones Street Residential, Inc. is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to service multiple properties across Fairfield, CT, including Alto and Greens Farms, Westport. The role requires hands-on work of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, drywall, and appliances.

You will travel 5 days per week between communities, respond to work orders promptly, and participate in make-ready turns with inspections. A valid driver's license and safety-focused problem-solving are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 3 years of apartment or residential maintenance experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repairs.
• EPA Universal Certification preferred (or ability to obtain).
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely.
• Strong problem-solving and time management skills.
• Flexibility to work across multiple locations with different teams.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Assist with apartment unit turns, including make-ready repairs and inspections.
• Conduct preventive maintenance to minimize future repairs.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose maintenance issues efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and company policies.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
• Communicate effectively with property managers, residents, and vendors.
• Provide on-call or after-hours emergency maintenance support as required.
