Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years apartment maintenance experience preferred.
• EPA Universal Certification preferred (or ability to obtain).
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to travel between Fairfield and Westport CT properties 5 days/week.

Responsibilities

• Travel between assigned properties (Alto, Fairfield and Greens Farms, Westport) 5 days a week, Monday through Friday.
• Adapt to varying site needs and respond to service requests promptly.
• Perform general maintenance and repairs including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, drywall, and appliance repair.
• Assist with apartment unit turns and make-ready inspections.
• Conduct preventive maintenance to minimize future repairs.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose maintenance issues efficiently.
• Ensure safety standards, building codes, and policies are followed.
• Maintain records of work performed and materials used.
• Communicate with property managers, residents, and vendors.
• Provide on-call or after-hours emergency maintenance support as required.

• Respond to and complete work orders in a timely and professional manner
• Assist with apartment unit turns, including make‑ready repairs and inspections
• Conduct preventive maintenance to minimize future repairs
• Troubleshoot and diagnose maintenance issues efficiently
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and company policies
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
• Communicate effectively with property managers, residents, and vendors

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum of 3 years of apartment or residential maintenance experience preferred
• Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repairs
• EPA Universal Certification preferred (or ability to obtain)
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely
• Strong problem‑solving and time management skills
• Flexibility and adaptability to work across multiple locations with different team
