Job summary

OakStar Bank in Springfield, MO seeks a Float Loan Assistant to support loan processing, documentation, and servicing across multiple sites. You will collaborate with loan officers, processors, and teams to ensure accurate filings, regulatory compliance, and timely funding.

Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are essential as you manage applications, disclosures, and file maintenance. Qualifications include an associate or bachelor’s in business/finance and 1–2 years in loan

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field preferred.
• 1–2 years of loan processing/administration experience.
• Familiarity with loan products, documentation, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with loan management systems or banking software.
• Familiarity with loan origination and servicing systems.
• Basic understanding of RESPA, TILA, ECOA and related banking regulations.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in loan documentation.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong customer service and clear, professional communication.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; ability to travel between locations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing loan documentation and disclosures.
• Review applications for completeness before submission.
• Coordinate with borrowers and loan officers for required documents.
• Input data into the loan management system accurately.
• Maintain loan files (electronic and paper) per policy.
• Support closing, funding, and post-closing servicing activities.
• Communicate timelines and next steps to borrowers.
• Ensure compliance with bank policies and regulatory standards.
