Job summary

Price Chopper Supermarkets-Market 32 is seeking a Grocery Department Associate to provide fast, friendly and efficient service, assist the Grocery Manager with daily operations, merchandising, pricing, stocking and inventory control to promote sales.

You will oversee clerks, ensure 5S standards, maintain sanitation, assist with ordering, training and development of new associates, and help manage store operations as needed by the store manager.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to manage others and demonstrate follow-through to achieve desired results and objectives.
• Basic computer skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• High School Degree or equivalent.
• 6-12 months of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Consistently provide fast, friendly, helpful and efficient customer service at all times.
• Oversee clerks within department and monitor for proper merchandising, rotation and inventory levels.
• Assist Grocery Manager with day-to-day operations including merchandising, pricing, stocking, signing and plan-o-grams.
• Assist with ordering of merchandise and supplies; store excess product in back room or designated area.
• Ensure sanitation and pricing procedures are followed within grocery operations; unload warehouse merchandise.
