Job Title: Floating Flooring & Carpet Technician - Multi-Family Properties, CA

Location: San Fernando Valley & Los Angeles County, CA

Pay Range: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour (based on experience)

We are a rapidly expanding, privately-owned company committed to excellence in property maintenance across Southern California. As we grow, we are seeking a Floating Flooring & Carpet Technician with strong experience in floor installation, repair, and general property maintenance to support our multi-family residential communities.

Position Overview

This floating technician role is ideal for a hands-on professional with deep experience in flooring and carpet installation. The role also involves supporting a variety of building maintenance tasks across multiple sites. You will play a vital role in ensuring the safety, cleanliness, and appearance of our properties while helping maintain a high standard of service for our residents.

Key Responsibilities

Install and replace carpets, hardwood, vinyl, and laminate flooring in residential units.

Perform general property maintenance including repairs to windows, doors, walls, and fixtures.

Troubleshoot and repair plumbing issues such as leaks or fixture problems.

Address electrical repairs such as damaged wiring or light fixture issues.

Apply preventive maintenance, including sealing flat roofs and other protective measures.

Identify and correct safety hazards to prevent injuries.

Paint building interiors and exteriors as needed.

Lubricate door hardware, locks, hinges, and gates.

Sweep, mop, and vacuum communal areas.

Dispose of trash in shared areas and ensure cleanliness.

Track and manage maintenance supply inventory.

Inspect and maintain fire extinguishers, alarms, and emergency exits.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of experience as a maintenance technician in residential or multi-family settings.

Strong hands-on experience in flooring and carpet installation/removal.

Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 70 pounds unassisted.

Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity.

Strong organizational and communication skills.

Must be available to work weekends when required.

Reliable transportation for travel across assigned properties.
