Job summary

Ozarks Area Community Action Corporation (OACAC) Head Start in Springfield, MO is seeking a dedicated Family Advocate. The role acts as a bridge between families, staff, and community resources, using a caseload approach to support enrollment, family engagement, and goal setting.

You will travel between centers as needed, build strong relationships, maintain confidential records, and collaborate with center teams to help families succeed and children thrive.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Willingness to attain a credential within 18 months of hire.
• Preferred: Degree in Social Work or related field.

Responsibilities

• Provide family support using a case management approach.
• Serve as liaison between families, staff, and community resources.
• Assist with recruitment, enrollment, and registration of children and families.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with families.
• Support family engagement and goal-setting activities.
• Maintain accurate documentation and confidential records.
• Collaborate with center staff to support program goals.
• Position begins at one location and floats between multiple centers as needed.
