Apply today!**## Qualifications## * Must be at least 16 years of age and have completed or be currently enrolled in high school or an equivalent program* Must meet all applicable childcare requirements established by the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS)## Requirements:* Demonstrate an understanding of child growth and development and the ability to apply that knowledge when working with children* Review and comply with YMCA policies, including the Health Care Policy, Parent Handbook, and Child Abuse Prevention policies* Maintain current Infant/Child CPR and First Aid certifications* Complete all required training, certifications, and program orientation in accordance with EEC or NH DHHS regulations and YMCA of the North Shore requirements## Work Environment & Physical Demands* Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds* Must be able to lift, bend, twist, reach, and move throughout the day as needed* Requires frequent transitions between standing, sitting, and working on the floor with children* Requires working outdoors throughout all seasons of the school year* Must be able to react quickly and appropriately to the unpredictable actions and needs of children* Must be able to actively supervise children and participate in program activities throughout the dayThe YMCA is committed to a policy of nondiscrimination and equal opportunity for all employees and qualified applicants without regard to race, color, religious creed, protected genetic information, national origin, ancestry, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, disability, veteran's status.
