Job summary

Acquire4Hire LLC is seeking a dedicated floating assistant to support nine classrooms and the kitchen as needed. You will help create a caring, safe environment and assist in activities to elevate the quality of education.

Responsibilities include implementing curricula, engaging children, maintaining materials, and supporting daily transitions from home to school. Background checks and health screenings are required, with CPR/First Aid training encouraged.

Qualifications

• High energy and the ability to work well with others.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Understanding of child development.
• Clear background check and health screening required.
• Willing to take trainings such as pediatric CPR and first aid.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the implementation of curricula activities and encourage participation by children.
• Actively engage in activities; manage cleanliness, maintenance, and availability of classroom materials.
• Encourage self-help and good hygiene through behavior modeling.
• Help ensure smooth, daily transition from home to school.
• Follow all center policies, Head Start Performance Standards, and state regulations.
• Assist with transporting children to or from school on a school bus.
• Participate in family-style meals with the children.
• Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.
• In kitchen, assist with preparing/serving meals; cleaning dishes; cleaning tables and floors after meals.
