Job summary

Milton Family Community Center is seeking an engaging early childhood educator to support the Infant to Preschool classrooms and MASK program mornings at Milton Elementary School. You will promote developmentally appropriate activities, maintain licensing compliance, and partner with families and staff to foster a nurturing learning environment.

Qualifications

• Must meet Vermont licensing requirements for licensed child care centers.
• Must have within a year at least one of the listed MASK program related certificates or degrees.
• At least 12 months experience working with groups of children up to age 5 or school-age children.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate high-quality student engagement and classroom management.
• Maintain health, safety, and record-keeping as per VT licensing.
• Assist in distribution of meals and snacks on-site.
• Collaborate with program directors, lead teachers, and families to support development and curricula.
• Attend meetings and participate in required professional development.

Education

Vermont Early Childhood Career Ladder Level One (1) or Two (2) Certificate

CDA (Child Development Associate)

State Board of Education approved Human Services Program Certificate with 12 months experience

Fundamentals for Early Childhood Professionals course or Vermont Afterschool Essentials Certificate with 12 months experience

Three college credits in child/human development or school age care with 12 months experience

BA/BS or Associate's Degree (or equivalent)
