Child Care Resources Inc. is seeking a Flexible Floating Closing Teacher to support classrooms in the afternoon and during closing hours. You will adapt to different age groups and routines, help teachers, and ensure the center is ready for closing.
Ideal candidates are energetic, patient, dependable, and able to work in any classroom as needed. A high school diploma or GED is preferred and childcare experience is a plus. This role emphasizes safety, engagement, and teamwork.
The Floating Closing Teacher is a flexible, dependable team member who supports classrooms throughout the center during the afternoon and closing hours. This position may work with different age groups and classrooms each day based on the needs of the center.
The ideal candidate is adaptable, energetic, patient, and comfortable stepping into different classrooms and routines. Our Floating Closing Teachers play an important role in maintaining a safe, positive, and engaging environment for children while supporting teachers and ensuring the center is ready for closing.
Float between classrooms as needed to provide classroom coverage and support.
Work with children of various ages and developmental stages.
Follow each classroom's daily schedule, routines, and expectations.
Assist Lead and Assistant Teachers with supervision and classroom activities.
Maintain a safe, clean, and nurturing environment for all children.
Engage children in age-appropriate activities, play, and learning experiences.
Assist with meals, snacks, diapering, toileting, handwashing, and other daily care routines as needed.
Help maintain classroom cleanliness and organization throughout the day.
Assist with end-of-day classroom cleanup and closing procedures.
Support proper child supervision and maintain required staff-to-child ratios.
Communicate professionally and respectfully with teachers, children, families, and management.
Follow all center policies, health and safety procedures, and applicable childcare regulations.
Be willing to step into different classrooms and adapt quickly to changing staffing needs.
Perform other duties as assigned by center leadership.
Must be 18 years of age or older.
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Previous childcare or classroom experience preferred but may not be required.
Must be dependable, punctual, and able to maintain a consistent schedule.
Must be comfortable working with children of different ages.
Must be flexible and willing to work in any classroom as needed.
Must be able to work afternoon/closing shifts.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Positive attitude and professional demeanor.
Ability to remain patient, attentive, and engaged in a busy childcare environment.
Must meet all applicable state childcare employment and background-check requirements.
