Job summary

Ebenezer Senior Care & Living is seeking a Float Chef to join our corporate culinary float team. This role involves floating to different Ebenezer locations to fill chef vacancies and ensure meals meet regulatory and customer expectations.

The schedule features 80 hours every two weeks, 10-hour day/early evening shifts, and every other weekend with variable weekdays. Responsibilities include mentoring chefs, ordering via the online platform, supporting front-of-house, and maintaining safety and

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Food Protection Manager Certification ANAB-CFP within 90 days.
• Preferred: CFPM issued by MN for MN locations.
• Technical training or associate degree – Food Service.
• 1–3 years of previous food service experience.
• Working knowledge of basic Microsoft applications.

Responsibilities

• Float to different Ebenezer locations to fill chef vacancies and support on-site dining operations.
• Assist with placing orders via eMenu and manage PO and invoicing.
• Support front-of-house service and perform dishwashing when needed.
• Prepare and cook food items to specified temperatures following recipes.
• Document temperatures and ensure sanitation and hygiene compliance.
• Supervise kitchen staff in the supervisor's absence and communicate feedback.
