Job summary

Senior Helpers in Santa Barbara area seeks compassionate caregivers for on-call shifts with guaranteed hours. You will respond quickly, clock in/out, and provide high-quality personal care and companionship to clients.

Ideal candidates are comfortable with dementia care, able to drive their own vehicle, bilingual English/Spanish preferred, and willing to cover Carpinteria to Goleta. Flexible scheduling and immediate start available.

Job description

Does every client love you? Are you looking for the next step in your career as a professional caregiver? We are looking for that special caregiver that can save the day and take on same day assignments.You will have guaranteed hours and be the hero for a client.

Role Details & Requirements

• Schedule: Be on-call for 8 hours of predetermined time.

• Responsibilities: Cover open shifts and assist other caregivers as needed.

• Response & Readiness: Respond to requests within 10 minutes, depart for the client within 20 minutes, wear your provided scrubs and name tag at all times, and always clock in and out and leave informative care notes.

• Qualifications: Must be comfortable working with both male and female clients and able to work with dogs and cats in the home. Must be proficient with Dementia care andall Personal Care tasks; drive and bring your own vehicle; and be willing to work betweenCarpinteria and Goleta. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Compensation

• Waiting Pay: You will be paid $17/hr for time spent waiting to be engaged. If you are not called in to work at all, you receive 8 hours at $17/hr ($136 for the shift).

• Working Pay: You will be paid $25/hr for time spent actively working (for example, if called at 7:00 AM to work from 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM, you earn 30 minutes at $17/hr and 7.5 hours at $25/hr, totaling $196 for the day).

• Mileage: If you travel over 30 miles during your day, you will be reimbursed for miles 31 and above.
