Job summary

S.L. Nusbaum Realty Co. in Arlington, VA seeks a Floating Assistant Community Manager to support multiple apartment communities. You will move between properties, assist leasing teams, handle deposits and rent posting, and ensure smooth daily operations across sites.

Responsibilities include fair housing compliance, communicating with residents, coordinating maintenance, and helping retention efforts. This is a full-time, non-exempt role with weekend hours as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED; supervisory experience preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License if operating a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Abides by Fair Housing Laws.
• Leasing tasks: show property, prepare lease packets, run credit reports, inspect properties after move-outs and prior to move-ins.
• Participates in leasing to ensure quality residency.
• Handles accounting and posting duties for deposits and rent payments.
• Responds to telephone requests from residents and the public.
• Coordinates maintenance requests with the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Support resident retention through positive relationships.
• Other duties as assigned.

SUMMARY OF POSITION :

A Floating Assistant Property Manager is a property management professional who supports multiple apartment communities or residential properties rather than being assigned to just one location. They move between properties as needed to cover staffing shortages, assist with daily operations, support leasing teams, and ensure each community runs smoothly.

Performs a variety of administrative duties related to the overall management of the property and assumes supervisory authority when the Community Manager is away from the property. This position is considered an essential function to the operation of the community therefore, consistent attendance is an essential function of this position, as it directly impacts the employee’s ability to perform their duties effectively and ensures proper workflow and communication within the team.

• AbidesbyFairHousingLaws.

  • Showing the property to prospective residents, preparing lease packets, run credit reports, inspects properties after “move-outs” and prior to “move-ins.”
