Responsibilities

• Plan and implement the proprietary curriculum, and complete assessments and reports for the children.

• Assist with meal times and cleanup tasks.
• Handle academy and classroom paperwork such as daily notes and attendance reports.
• Attend staff meetings, academy events, and parent meetings as requested.

Overview

The Floater / Substitute is responsible for assisting the classroom lead teacher with the general supervision and management of a class of children. He or she must be knowledgeable in developmentally appropriate practices; have flexible hours that cover the needs of the center. The Floater / Substitute is responsible for assisting teachers in supervising all children in their room ensuring activities and curriculum are adhered to as required by the Director.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for planning and implementing proprietary curriculum, and completing assessments and reports for the children
• Helps and supervises children during all activities
• Counsels children when social, academic, or adjustment problems arise
• Ensures that the appearance, cleanliness, and safe environment of the classroom are appropriately maintained
• Helps children with meal times and clean-up
• Helps with all academy and classroom paperwork, such as daily notes, student accident reports, and attendance reports
• Attends and participates in staff meetings, academy events, and parent meetings as requested
• Performs other duties as assigned
