Job summary

Ecore International in Lancaster, PA is seeking a dependable Small Line Floater Operator for 2nd shift to support our manufacturing team across multiple machines. You will help maintain production flow, ensure quality output, and uphold safety standards in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year of manufacturing or machine operation experience and forklift experience, with a willingness to learn all department equipment within six months.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
  • 1+ year of manufacturing or machine operation experience.
  • 1+ year forklift experience.
  • Ability to learn and operate all department equipment within 6 months.
  • Strong attention to detail and multitasking.
  • Basic math and measurement skills.
  • Comfortable with computers and ERP experience is a plus.
  • Strong safety mindset and adherence to procedures.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed.
  • Must wear PPE and work at heights when required.

Responsibilities

  • Operate mixing, extruding, and grinding equipment.
  • Float between machines to cover shifts and gaps.
  • Assist with cleaning and operate auxiliary machinery.
  • Meet production goals while maintaining safety.
  • Monitor product quality and follow standards.
  • Safely operate forklift for materials movement.
  • Perform basic preventive maintenance.
  • Enter and review production data in company systems.
  • Participate in safety and production meetings.

We are seeking a dependable and adaptable Small Line Floater Operator to support our manufacturing team on 2nd shift. In this role, you will work across multiple machines within the small line department, ensuring smooth production flow, quality output, and a safe working environment.

This is a hands‑on opportunity in a fast‑paced setting where flexibility, teamwork, and attention to detail are key. You will play a critical role in keeping operations running efficiently by supporting various machines, covering team needs, and maintaining high production standards.

Key Responsibilities

Production Support

  • Operate a variety of equipment including mixing, extruding, and grinding systems
  • Float between machines to support shift coverage, breaks, and staffing gaps
  • Assist with equipment cleaning and operate auxiliary machinery as needed
  • Meet production goals while maintaining safety and efficiency standards

Quality & Process Control

  • Monitor product quality throughout the production process
  • Follow all quality standards, Standard Work, and 6S practices
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure consistent output
  • Safely operate a forklift to move raw materials and finished goods
  • Follow all safety protocols for powered industrial equipment

Maintenance & Housekeeping

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Perform basic preventive maintenance and report equipment issues promptly
  • Ensure proper storage and upkeep of tools and equipment

Additional Duties

  • Enter and review production data in company systems
  • Participate in safety and production meetings
  • Support SOP updates and process improvements
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent experience)
  • 1+ year of manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred
  • 1+ year of forklift experience required
  • Ability to learn and operate all department equipment within 6 months
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask

  • Strong commitment to safety and following procedures
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed
